Lees McRae College Rooted in Service
This was our
first, ever, visit by students from Lees McRae College. It was a hands-on day
complete with shovels and dirt to move.
We started the day shoveling a culvert on our new
road. We then buried about thirty feet of footer drain along the side of the
house. The pipe had to be cleaned and then laid in a bed of gravel, covered with
stone, a layer of filter cloth and finally dirt on top. 
After a real work out everyone took a break for lunch. The best seats in the house were on a hill of stone.
At the end of the day the crew gathered with smiles knowing the job was well done.....and they could now go home.
